My Biggest Takeaway
Itâs not always easy; it never has been
It doesnât matter how much or how little money you have; there will be shit in your life.
So what are we to do? Give up, take the easy route, stay ordinary, stay small?
Of course not.Â
We stay resolute, and every day, we do one more thing to make it a little bit better, and we keep going.
Because I guarantee you this; if you have the strength not to give up, you can and will have the life you want to lead.
You just need to be clear on what that new life looks like and how much effort youâre willing to put in.
This week was okay. Next week will be better. |

Experience of the Week
Hotter than the sun (almost)
A blistering 48-degree day, even the lizards were wearing flip-flops.Â
Trying to get supplies in Pueblo Nuevo, weâre dashing from shadow to shadow like sunburnt ninjas.
Too hot for shopping, we head to E-Tapa for essential âre-hydrationâ- where, yet again realise weâve forgotten to put the windscreen sunshade up in the Disco đ
An hour later, we jump back in and nearly sear our asses off as the freshly bought eggs start to cook themselves.
Come to Spain, they said, the weatherâs lovely they said đ„” |

What I Watched
RIDING LIGHT, with Steve Bate
Steve Bate MBE is a Paralympic cyclist who was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa in 2011, a condition which, he says, is âslowly robbing me of my eyesight.â It will eventually cause him to go blind.
Rather than impeding his thirst for adventure, his diagnosis inspired him to push his limits and became the first partially-sighted person to solo climb the legendary El Capitan in Yosemite.
