I never set out to break the law.
Instead, through a torrid and misguided childhood, I was simply looking to be noticed, and I got it all wrong.
By something the police did during my arrest, I was given one last chance to change my life, or else I was going behind bars.
What if that had happened? How differently would you think about me now? Would you see a criminal or an ex-con who’s untrustworthy?
Or would you see someone who had a second chance and used it to help others create their best life?
Whatever you’ve done in your life, whatever mistakes you’ve made, they no longer matter.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life; it’s your choice what to do with it.
