About Us.

About Us.

It started in a tapas bar in Valencia.

The day before flying home, and that familiar end-of-holiday feeling settling in. You know the one.

We were sitting there, glass of wine in hand, doing what we always did on the last evening. Talking about what it would be like to actually live somewhere like this. The light. The pace. The food. The sense that life could feel completely different if only.

I'd been making versions of this case for years. And Jules had always said the same thing. "Maybe one day."

But that evening something was different. The thought of going back had become too heavy. The job that had been slowly grinding Jules down, the stress that had got into her health, the Sunday dread that had become as reliable as the week itself.

The pain of going back had finally outweighed the fear of doing something about it.

I said it out loud. "Let's turn it on its head. Let's create a life we don't need a holiday from." And Jules said yes.

Ninety days later Jules had resigned and we sold everything that we no longer needed. We packed the car with six suitcases, two paddleboards and a pair of laptops, and boarded a ferry from Jersey to France. We had no idea exactly what came next. We just knew we were done waiting for the right moment.

That was 2020 and we haven't looked back since.

Jules.

I spent years doing 'everything right'.

A good career, good salary, I was respected and reliable. On paper there was absolutely nothing to complain about.

But the reality was very different. The workplace had turned toxic. The stress had become relentless. My blood pressure was dangerously high and my doctor had been direct about what was coming if nothing changed.

I was living for weekends and annual leave, stumbling through the weeks, and running out of road.

What kept me stuck wasn't laziness or lack of ambition. It was the thing that keeps most people stuck. I couldn't see a way out that didn't involve losing everything I'd worked for. And I didn't believe, not really, that someone like me could actually do something like this. I was wrong.

The move to Spain changed everything. Not immediately, and not without fear. But gradually, and then all at once. I found space to breathe. I found purpose. I found myself again outside of a job title and a salary. My health came back. My confidence came back. And with both of those things came a happiness I hadn't felt in years.

I look back now and wish I'd done it sooner. But I'm also glad it happened the way it did, because that experience is exactly why I understand what the people who come to ONE LIFE are going through. I've been there. Not theoretically, actually.

Living is calling.

My story starts much earlier and in a very different place.

I left home at 16 with no money, no qualifications, and no safety net. Just a decision that where I started didn't have to define where I ended up.

At 30, I was done with being a slave to the system, so I built an online business that allowed me to travel, work and live around the world.

People call me the clarity coach.

Someone once told me I can see around corners. What that means in practice is that I can step outside of your situation, see exactly what's happening and what needs to change. I help you find a path forward that you simply can't see when you're standing in the middle of your own life.

I spent years asking Jules to make the leap, but she couldn't see what I could see. And when she finally said yes in that tapas bar in Valencia, I had a plan ready, and we were gone in 90 days.

That's what we do know. Using the same framework, we help other over 50's see the way through, and create a life they don't need a holiday from.

Together.

Jules knows the fear from the inside. I know the way through.

That's not a tagline. It's the reason this works.

Between us we have done the thing we are asking you to do. Left the life that looked fine on paper. Made the decision before we were ready. Built something completely different on the other side of it.

We're not a couple of coaches who read the books and set up a website. We're two people who actually did it, living in southern Spain, doing work we love, and genuinely excited about what each day looks like.

That's the proof. Not the testimonials, not the credentials, not the framework.

Just the life.
